Printed pattern for raw edge applique using free motion embroidery.
This pattern contains the templates for my autumn Jay and Oak design along with plenty of colour photographs through each step.

The kit also contains all the fabric, stabiliser and backing felt to make your own. You just need to supply your own thread and you will need a sewing machine capable of free motion sewing. (Although you could use the templates for hand embroidery but I don't give instructions for that technique)

I don't teach you how to do free motion embroidery in this pattern, other than my own hints and tips, neither do I tell you how to set your machine up for free motion embroidery but I do give you all the stages for you to make your own embroidery.

There are two sizes in the pattern, the standard one I make up in the pattern (7.5" by 5.5") and a larger one with a finished size of 12.5" by 8.5" which would be ideal for beginners or for use for hand embroidery or needle turn applique. The pattern doesn't give details for those techniques but you would be very welcome to use my patterns to try those methods.
