PDF pattern for Autumn Forest block 1 and 2 quilt Stag free motion embroidery applique raw edge

This PDF pattern is for the large stag which forms patterns 1 and 2 of the Autumn Forest quilt. The block measures 14 by 24"

The quilt itself is in my usual style, so it is a patchwork background with raw edge applique sewn with free-motion embroidery. You don't need a fancy machine to stitch it but your machine needs to be able to do free-motion embroidery. The pattern contains basic instructions for the patchwork. I won't go into a lot of detail on patchwork as I am assuming that you know the basics but other than the odd half-square triangle, it is all pretty simple. I use raw edge techniques and the patterns are using those instructions, but you could also use needle turn techniques, but no instructions will be given. For some of the pieces, you would need additional fabric to use needle-turn. I do give a little extra, but it might be tight on some of the smaller pieces and you would need to purchase additional fabric.
